From wedding parties to rehearsal dinners, birthdays, block parties, holiday celebrations and corporate events, we’ve done it all! Contact us with your request.
It’s easy – just fill out the Event Request Form and we’ll respond to you with availability and cost. Once you’re ready to secure the available event date, let us know. We’ll email a contract for you to sign and return, along with a deposit of 50% of the food and beverage minimum. The balance is due upon the completion of your event.
If your event is cancelled 30 days or more prior to the event date, the full deposit amount will be refunded. For cancellations 15-29 days prior to the event date, 50% of the deposit amount will be refunded and 14 days or less prior to the event date, the full deposit amount will be retained.
A 20% service charge will be applied, prior to tax — based on the total food and beverage sales OR the food and beverage minimum, whichever is greater. The fee includes event organization and management, biodegradable/recyclable service ware including: plates, napkins, cups and utensils. Additional tips are greatly appreciated by our hard-working staff.
The minimum charge entitles you to two hours of service time for “Open Truck” events and four hours for a Lobster Clambake. Additional time will be charged $100 per 30 minutes.
If the location is your privately owned property, no permit is necessary. If it is public property, you are responsible for obtaining the event location and securing any necessary permits. A map of how to get to your location and where you want the ChowderMobile placed is appreciated. Sam’s ChowderMobile maintains the right to relocate the truck if the site is not suitable. Please check with your city for permit requirements.
The ChowderMobile requires 25 feet of parking space, with 14 feet overhead clearance and a driveway width of at least 10 feet. Due to the weight of the ChowderMobile, we require a firm and level parking surface.
A price quote is good for 60 days. Beyond that, unless a contract is signed by both you and Sam’s ChowderMobile, the cost will be based on our current pricing.
Yes, our food and beverage minimum to hold a private event at your location is $2,000 for weekdays, $2,500 for weekends, or $3,500 for holidays, plus a 20% service charge and applicable tax. Please be aware that if your location is outside of our standard coverage area, a distance fee will be included in your food and beverage charge.
No, we do not provide beer or wine, only nonalcoholic beverages. But you are welcome to provide your own beer and wine.
We provide trash bins for open truck events, but we do not provide them for Lobster Clambake events, and you will need to provide your own.
Yes, we do provide biodegradable/recyclable service ware including: utensils, plates, napkins and cups. We do not provide tables and chairs, so please plan to provide a seating area if required.
The ChowderMobile is booked on a “first come, first served” basis. Longer lead times are always beneficial. All catered events must be booked no later than two weeks before the event.
Sam’s ChowderMobile accepts cash, major credit cards, and checks payable to: Sam’s ChowderMobile. We may also accept Apple Pay or Google Pay with advance notice.
